Today I worked with 2 of my colleagues to present at 7Shares, our district technology conference. We presented on using iPads in instruction. We focused on best practices in literacy instruction and iPad integration. Some of the instructional practices we used were:

Vocaroo.com - voice recording
We use the website to record ourselves reading books or giving instructions. We turn the recording into a QR code for students to scan and listen

QR Scavenger Hunts
We create games with QR codes for students to review content. Students also write their own riddles and turn them into Q & A QR codes.

QR code bulletin boards
These are interactive bulletin boards to teach, inform, show published content such as videos and writing, or voting.

Nearpod
Interactive PowerPoint where teachers control student iPads and get live feedback during lessons

Socrative
Online assessment
